;) Plus, you just can't go wrong with Empire Red. Kitchenaid is the best of the best. This stuff is sturdy, dishwasher safe, and a great set for any cook.
I have never had a problem with water getting into the handle. Andre the Giant might enjoy using these, but I tend to reach for my other smaller spoons and turners before I use one of these. I own alot of these KitchenAid red utensils and my only complaint is that they are too big. The handles are heavier than the bottom part so you can't leave the spoon or spatula resting in the pot on the stove, it'll just flip out, unless you have really tall pots and pans.
Yes the handles are large and heavy, but I prefer that to something that is going to break with the use and abuse mine see. It's not that big of a deal. I have read through a few of the reviews and I really like my set. For those picky people, when using a shallow dish/pot, just flip the spoon over, leaning the spoon into the dish/pot with the handle resting on the table/shelf. Anyway, love my KitchenAid utensils and if something happens to any of them, I WILL purchase the same thing again. I have had mine for well over a year and I use at least one EVERY day. I wash them on the top rack of my dishwasher and I have never had water issues in the handle.
Food (especially eggs) stick and even worse, these tools are handle heavy so they easily fall out of a skillet making a mess.
We have tried to put them in a crock so that they will be handy while cooking. If you're any kind of a cook at all these are terrible. I bought these for my daughter because they were inexpensive and she needed a lot of kitchen stuff fast.First of all they are way too CLUNKY and take up WAY too much room. Handles take up way too much room in crock, too. They are awkward to use-very awkward. The handles are really fat and don't feel comfortable in the hand. Straight and fat and odd to hold.
